ViiV Healthcare are funding our work on Be in the KNOW co-creating content with young advice seekers, community health workers and practitioners in sub-Saharan Africa to provide comprehensive, evidence-based information on HIV prevention options.

As well as news and blog content, ViiV funding has supported the creation of a new video series giving young people the facts about pleasure, condoms, consent and PrEP in a fun and engaging way. As well as the creation of videos with specific sexual health advice for men who have sex with men (MSM) and trans people.

As with all Avert content, we have consulted with our audiences at every stage of the design process, including facilitating online focus group discussions with young women, MSM and trans people from community groups in the countries we reach, including South Africa, Zimbabwe and Uganda. The high-quality feedback and insights we receive from discussions with these stakeholder groups help us ensure that the content resonates with our audiences – giving them exactly the information they need, in a way they can easily understand and engage with.
