Avert's programme work has ended and the organisation has now ceased operations, with the official process of charity closure expected to be finalised by November 2025. Until the point of official closure you can still get in touch with us by email but we are not able to respond to all emails.

You can find out more about our transition strategy and our legacy on this site. Our final report and accounts will be available from July 2025 on our reports page and from the UK Charity Commission website.

  • For information about the Be in the KNOW brand, please contact its new owners Kenya Comms Hub.
  • For information about Boost, contact the new owners OPHID.
  • For information about Himarika, contact the new owners LVCT Health.

If you need information and resources relating to HIV you can still visit the information site www.beintheknow.org, now owned and run by our partner Kenya Comms Hub. If you can’t find what you’re looking for on that site, we recommend you speak to a healthcare professional in your country.

Community health workers can also still visit the online information resource for community health workers, Boost, now run by OPHID.
